Document Description
The project involves development and operation of a new commercial wind energy facility comprising 50 wind turbines that will generate 100 megawatts (MW) of electricity; as well as related support facilities. The Project ITP Major Amendment corrects the total amount of impacts to California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) habitat resulting from construction activities. The Project resulted in 235.7 acres and 23.4 acres of temporary and permanent impacts, respectively. The Amendment also increases the amount of required mitigation from to 51.6 acres. The Project is expected to result in incidental take of California tiger salamander (Covered Species, which is designated as a threatened species under the CESA. The ITP and ITP amendment referenced above, as issued by CDFW, authorizes incidental take of Covered Species subject to various terms and conditions, including the requirement that all authorized impacts are fully mitigated.
