Caltrans proposes the following work on State Route 1 to repair storm water damage caused by a landslide. Build a 925-foot-long and 31 foot high retaining wall on the east side of the road on the downhill slope and build a 90-foot-long, 4-foot-high retaining wall on the west side of the road. The project would also install metal beam guardrail and cable safety barrier, widen the northbound shoulder to 4 feet, and replace four drainage inlets. All work would be within the state right-of-way.
