The project is adoption by the Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board of an amendment to the Water Quality Control Plan for the Lahontan region that will replace the existing regionwide water quality objective for pesticides by establishing a regionwide prohibition for pesticide to water. The proposed amendment will allow exemptions to the proposed pesticide prohibition provided specific project conditions and criteria are satisfied on a project-by-project basis.
