Document Description
The Project is located in Sacramento County on the Sacramento River near the town of Isleton on Assessor's Parcel Number 156-0040-002. The project is limited to installation of a 10' X 32' private recreational boat dock and a 4 X 40' long gangway that will be anchored to a 5' X 10' X 1' thick concrete pad. A total of three piles shall be installed. The dock will be anchored to two 14" or 16" diameter steel piles, and it will float up and down with the river level. A third steel pile will be installed just upstream of the dock to protect it from large, floating debris. The dock material will be made of fiberglass or wood, with Styrofoam float. The gangway will be made of steel or aluminum. The gangway will have rollers on the dock, allowing it to rise the fall with the river level. On its bank end, the gangway will be attached to two steel columns, allowing it to rise and fall when the river level is very high. These two steel columns will be embedded into the 5' X 10' X 1' concrete pad, weighing approximately 7,250 pounds. The piles will be driven in from a barge-mounted pile driver. The dock will be constructed off-site and floated into place.
