Document Description
The project involves the decommissioning of a wastewater treatment plant in the community of Walnut Grove. The project consists of the removal of waste and rock solids in two treatment ponds totaling six acres (parcel 146-0190-018). Approximately 5,000 to 10,000 cubic yards of material will be removed. Depending on the determination of the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board and soil testing, removal of soil from percolation beds totaling 14.5 acres (parcels 146-0190-025 and 026) may be necessary. An additional 15,000 to 30,000 cubic yards of material may be removed. All solids removed from the project site will be transported to a permitted landfill or land application parcel for disposal. Shallow disking will be performed in the treatment and percolation ponds after removal of soils.
