Document Description
Project is for Improvement District No. 1 levee improvements along the north Kern River levee between Nord Road and Renfro Road. These improvements are required to obtain FEMA PAL recertification. This project would modify the existing IDI levee system with the placement of additional earthfill materials to increase the existing levee freeboard. Borrow material required for this project will be obtained from existing recharge basins in Sections 4 and 5 of the Pioneer Project recharge basins. Other borrow site proximate to the project site may be used as required to increase the height of the levee.
