The 2008 Martin Fire exposed previously vegetated soils to the seeds of nearby invasive exotic French Broom plants. They have colonized approximately 1 acre of the reserve, displacing native plants. This project will utilize the services of the Ben Lomand Conservation Camp to hand pull and dispose of broom at the above location.
