Document Description
The proposed project is the demolition of the existing Taylor Hall and Yuba Hall buildings and the construction and operation of a new Taylor Hall II replacement building on the CSU, Chico campus. The current Taylor Hall (constructed in 1965) exhibits numerous building system deficiencies, including those related to electrical, mechanical, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility and fire life safety. To address these inadequacies it is proposed to replace the obsolete Taylor Hall (33,100 gross square feet (GSF)) with a new three-and hour-story 91,000 (GSF) Taylor II Replacement Building to accommodate the College of Humanities and Fine Arts (HFA). The new facility will efficiently use the land mass available for the building and meet the current and future instructional and public event needs of the University.
