The project represents an amendment to an existing reclamation plan for a surface mine of approximately 8.3 acres that has been in operation under Mining Permit 99-02 since 2004. The amended reclamation plan provides greater specificity in regards to revegetation, monitoring and a factor of safety analysis for the quarry pit walls than did the reclamation plan approved with Mining Permit 99-02.
