Document Description
Project Proponent is proposing to re-use an existing industrial site to establish a recycling collection center. Items accepted for recycling include CRV cans, glass and plastic bottles, various metals, automotive parts, household items, and cardboard. Collected items are placed in metal bins stored under a fully covered 11,000 sq. ft. warehouse building. Items are trucked to an offsite facility where they are processed for shipment to recycling mills. Limited site improvements and re-installation of parkway landscaping will occur. Approximately 20 vehicle trips a day and two weekly operator diesel truck trips are expected to occur. A 1,350 square foot office will be occupied. The use will have 5 employees and hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
