The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-MON-16016-R4, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Shandy Carroll of the Monterey County Resource Management Agency. The Project includes activities related to the restoration The Project includes activities related to the restoration and improved hydrological function to approximately 135 acres of historical Carmel River Floodplain. The Project will include largescale restorative grading and the construction of a causeway that will allow flood flows to pass under California State Route 1 resulting in improved floodplain hydrology and the reduction of offsite flooding and will restore hydrologic connectivity between the Project Area and the Carmel Lagoon.
