Document Description
The project proposes the construction of a new 5-floor (4-stories above grade and one below grade basement floor) hospital Tower No. 2 & Atrium (~111,100 sf) west of Tower No. 1 currently under construction. The realignment of Gem St. westerly of its current location, the 5,116 sf truck dock building, and two off-site satellite parking lots at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 451 E.. Merritt St. and Evolutions Health & Fitness Center at 1425 E Prosperity, Tulare, for use as permanent parking, have been eliminated from the Modified Project. When completed the proposed Tower No. 2 will include 105 patient beds and associated hospital/medical/technical support functions. Several existing uses, including hospital engineering, materials management, housekeeping and lab functions will be relocated into the basement areas of proposed Tower No. 2 and Atrium buildings. The Atrium will provide vertical and horizontal connections between Tower No. 2, the existing hospital, and Tower No. 1 currently under construction.
