Document Description
Construction of a 5-floor (4-stories above grade and one below grade basement floor) hospital Tower No. 2 Atrium, and a 1-story truck dock building (+/- 116,216 sf total for project) west of Tower No. 1, under construction (SCH # 2008031119). The project will bring the hospital into conformance with state seismic safety regulations and upgrade the quality of medical services offered. Project will increase beds from 143 to 193. To achieve construction of the new tower and the necessary modifications in parking space requirements and layout, as well as improvements to existing hospital area on-site circulation patterns, one on-site building will be demolished and off-site satellite parking is proposed to meet parking needs. The City of Tulare regulations require land use entitlements for which this EIR will be utilized by the City in its approval process.
