Document Description
After several weeks of extensive and continuous precipitation during the month of Decemnber 2010, the saturated roadway prism failed resulting in an embankment slipout and subsequent drainage system failure.
Work is intended to stabilize the location by dewatering the adjacent slope and the roadway fill prism; this will be done by excavating the location and constructing a rock buttress, and repairing the damaged metal beam guardrail and drainage system.
