Conduct hand trenching in approximately two locations to locate and study earthquake faulting at Clark Lake in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Project will date soils and sediments. San Diego State University will be issued a soil investigations permit to conduct the work.

No potential for significant impacts to the environment is anticipated in compliance with Section 15300.2. Project consists of minor alterations to land; minor alterations in land use limitations in areas with an average slope of less than 20%, which do not result in any changes in land use or density; and basic data collection and research which do not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource and is included in DPR's list of exempt activities as "Issuance of temporary use permits" and "Soils and structural engineering tests" in accordance with CCR S 15300.4.
