Document Description
This project consists of the removal of 4 Washintonia Palm trees from campsites located in San Elijo State Beach. The palms are invasive plant species and they also obstruct traffic in and out of campsites making for unsafe traffic conditions. The project includes removing the palms and excavating approximately 2' 6" below surface level to remove stump material and possible tripping hazards. The City of Encinitas has responded to our inquiry regarding destruction of view shed of historical issues concerning the trees and has asked that we simply post signage on the trees that they will be removed.
