Document Description
This project involves recurring maintenance and repair of eight truck trails, Sycuan, Lyons-Lawson, Guejito, La Jolla, Tenaja, Barrett, Valley View, and Roblar, all located within CAL FIRE's San Diego Unit. The total lengh of all the truck trails to be repaired and maintained is 29.6 miles. These truck trails serve as ingress and egress routes for fire suppression and emergency response activities. The project is part of the San Diego Unit's historic and ongoing annual maintenance of critical fire defense infrastructure. This project will encompass typical tasks associated with road maintenance consisting of grading, filling of eroded ruts, repair of existing water drainage facilities, cleanout of existing culvert systems, reoval of obstructions within the road such as rocks and fallen trees, removal of dead trees adjacent to roadway that are likely to fall onto roadway, removal of vegetation encroaching onto roadway as necessary to facilitate maintenance work.
