Document Description
Repair existing and install new fencing at several locations within Morro Bay State Park. At the following locations, work will: * La Loma Street Remove and replace approximately 300 linear feet of existing 4-strand boundary fence wire with a finish height of approximately 5 feet. * Heron Rookery Natural Preserve Along the boundary of the Heron Rookery, use existing post holes, where possible, or excavate approximately 60 new post holes to a maximum depth of 36" and 8" diameter and set approximately sixty 8' long x 5" diameter posts in concrete or tamp in soil to replace up to 60 rotted posts with a finish height of approximately 5 feet. * Quarry Trail Parking Lot Vehicle Barrier Remove and replace approximately 500 linear feet (lf) of existing 3 1/2 foot high peeler post parking barrier fence. *Grove Entrance Gate Excavate three 30" deep x 8" diameter post holes and anchor three 6' long x 5" diameter steel gate posts in concrete approximately 12' apart, to install a new 3 1/2" high x 12' long steel pipe vehicle gate with a finish height of approximately 3 1/2 feet.

Project consists of the repair, maintenance and minor alteration of existing public structures and facilities involving negligible expansion of use beyond current levels, the construction or installation of limited numbers of new, small facilities, the minor alteration in the condition of land that does not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees, and the construction, or placement of minor structures accessory to existing facilities included as "modification of existing facilities for handicap access", "construction or installation of park facilities such as interpretive signing or panels", and "trail construction or realignment" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR section 15300.4.
