Document Description
The proposed project consists of drilling geotechnical test borings through the paved shoulders of the existing right of way. The purpose is to collect subsurface data necessary in the preparation of the foundation recommendations, developing the Environmental Document, provide the necessary information for the design of the project, and to provide information for future construction procedures. The proposed geotechnical drilling is considered Phase 1 in a series of three phases of drilling. The proposed geotechnical drilling would indirectly benefit the traveling public and users of Route 199, since the drilling results would help develop recommendations for proposed bridge replacement and not directly result in construction.
