Sustained moderate to high flows and continuing erosion is threatening the levee foundation and embankment. The emergency project will place riprap as levee armoring along approximately 550 feet of San Joaquin River, River Mile 71.5, Right Bank (SJR RM 71.5R) to maintain the integrity of the levee at this site and prevent levee collapse. Resulting flood waters could inundate agricultural lands and farmsteads, County school facilities and South Airport Road.
