The project involves approval of a Removal Action Workplan (RAW) by the Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC) pursuant to Health & Safety Code, chapter 6.8 as submitted on October 5, 2010 by The Planning Center on behalf of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). The RAW is a minor action that is estimated to cost $81,000. The RAW focuses on the excavation and offsite disposal of soils impacted with elevated levels of chlordane and total petroleum hydrocarbons in the diesel (TPHdisel) and oil (TPHoil) ranges onsite.
