Document Description
Install 2 new monitoring wells in two separate locations at Calaveras Big Trees State Park to conduct quarterly groundwater testing required by the Regional Water Control Board. At each location, work will remove brush; excavate two 50' X 50' (2500 cubic feet) areas for a semi-level grade for the drill rig; and drill to a maximum depth of 75', up to four holes may be drilled'; at location 2, work will also remove two 10" diameter trees. Once the new wells are in place, the existing wells will be abandoned by removing the hardware and fillings the holes with sealing material in accordance with Section 24400 of the California Health and Safety Code.
