Document Description
The Project will upgrade and expand the WWTP to meet new Waste Discharge Requirements and other regulatory requirements, and provide sufficient capacity for peak flows. The Project will involve installing an 86,500 gallon per day packaged membrane bioreactor (MBR) process that is capable producing tertiary treated effluent. The tertiary treatment will allow for potential future beneficial reuse of effluent by local vineyards and prevent over applying effluent to the existing disposal spray fields. The Project will also involve converting an existing basin into a covered flow equalization basin; installation a grit removal unit, rotary screen, flow equalization tank, supplemental aeration tank, an MBR tank, a sludge holding tank, ultraviolet disinfection, a belt filter press, and a standby emergency generator; and upgrading an existing septic tank effluent receiving station.
