The Project would include expanding the size of WPWMA's existing composting operations in order to improve the operational efficiency of the existing compost activities and to accommodate anticipated growth in green waste materials accepted at the facility over the next 25 years. The Project includes the expansion of the existing approximately 7-acre compost pad by approximately 5.5 acres. An additional 2 acres would be used for a second materials screening and stockpiling area and a 1-acre area would be used to compost leachate collection and storage. The total Project footprint is approximately 8.5 acres.
