Document Description
The proposed project would: 1) Provide a mechanism to address the impacts of development to Swainson's hawk foraging habitat through fee payment or direct habitat conservation by individual development projects; 2) Update the development impact fee to mitigate for impacts to Swainson's hawk foraging habitat; 3) Require an annual adjustment to the fee based on a specified cost index (the proposed fee includes $8,921 for easement acquisition, $444 for monitoring and reporting, and $281 for administration); and 4) Result in fee title purchase, conservation easement purchase, or other mechanisms for the conservation of Swainson's hawk foraging habitat in perpetuity.
