Document Description
Per the requirements of the California State Aeronautics Act (PUC Section 21670), the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG), acting in its capacity as the Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC) for Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba counties, has prepared the Beale Air Force Base Land Use Compatibility Plan (ALUCP). The ALUCP provides a set of policies for use by the ALUC in evaluating the compatibility between future proposals for land use development in the vicinity of Beale AFB and the potential long-range aircraft activity at the Base. The compatibility criteria defined by the policies are also intended to be reflected in the plans and other policy instruments adopted by Yuba and Sutter counties as the two government entities having jurisdiction over land uses near the Base. Preparation of the ALUCP was guided by the California Department of Transportation, Division of Aeronautics' California Airport Land Use Planning Handbook (2002), as required by PUC 21675(a).
