Document Description
The project is an amendment to the San Leandro General Plan in order to ensure internal consistency between the General Plan (adopted in 2002), the Downtown Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Strategy (adopted in September 2007), and the Housing Element (adopted in April 2010). The TOD Strategy established land uses and densities in the area around the BART Station that differed from those in the General Plan. The Station area was subsequently rezoned to reflect the TOD Land Use Plan. A series of text and map amendments are now proposed to incorporate the TOD Strategy into the General Plan.
