The Project's goals and objectives are as follows:
- Provide a reliable new source of power to serve the electrical demand of both the RVWTP and the CLWA Headquarters building by providing a secondary source of power (the main source is through Southern California Edison)
- Develop a source of renewable energy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
- Provide stabilization in power costs for future energy demand of CLWA operations
- Support and comply with legislation passed by the State of California (i.e., the California Solar Initiative and renewable energy standards)
