- The proposed project is anticipated to reduce local flooding along two segments of the Arundell Barranca channel (channel) during severe rainstorms. This reduction in flooding would occur by increasing the existing capacity of the channel to convey stormwater during a 100-year storm event to the ocean. The existing, and proposed, end of the channel is at Ventura Harbor.
