Document Description
The Project consists of two separate actions: 1) to adopt a proposed redevelopment plan for the CCD Project Area, which will provide for a variety of Agency-assisted redevelopment activities designed to lessen or eliminate documented blight conditions pursuant to the California Community Redevelopment Law; and 2) to merge the CCD Project, once adopted, with the City's existing redevelopment project, the (previously amended) Merged Tapo Canyon and West End Community Development Project Area, to create the Simi Valley Merged Community Development Project Area, which will allow the agency to better administer redevelopment activities. While no site-specific are projects proposed at this time, Agency activities over the 30 year life of the proposed redevelopment plan might include, but are not limited to: i) provision of affordable housing; ii) construction and/or rehabilitation of structures; iii) infrastructure upgrades for wastewater, storm drainage, water and traffic circulation systems; iv) economic development; and v) other improvements as permitted by the CCRL.
