The revised SWFP will allow for the following changes: Increase the total permitted area from 12.3 acres to 18.61 acres; Increase the permitted maximum daily tonnage from 500 tons per day (tpd) to 2,000 tpd; Increase the permitted traffic volume from 318 vehicles per day (vpd) to 920 vpd; Change the hours of operation for handling material at the material recovery facility and transfer station from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm Monday - Sunday to 24 hours per day Monday - Sunday; Increase the hours for the receipt of mixed construction and demolition (C&D) and organics from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm to 5:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday - Sunday and handling of mixed C&D and organics from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm to 5:00 am to 10:00 pm Monday - Sunday; Add a biomass conversion facility; Add a 30,000 square foot recycling building; Expand the maintenance shop; Process co-collected green waste with food waste and process commercial food waste.
