Document Description
Bowman Road would be constructed as a 2-lane arterial with paved shoulders. Construction would consists of a 24-foot-wide asphalt concrete roadbed with 6 ft wide asphalt concrete shoulders on both sides with 2 ft wide dirt shoulder-backing; ~ 2 miles in length. Two culvert crossings would be constructed at two locations. Any existing utilities which would conflict with project design within the project area would be relocated. A portion of the project lies within an area of an existing dirt road. The current dirt road meanders through an existing 200 ft wide right-of-way deeded to the County by the State in 1998. The centerline of the roadway should be located along section lines. It is the intent of this project to correct the location of the road within an existing alignment in order to provide congruence and continuity to already paved sections of Bowman Road. The project site is ~ 15.3 acres in size.
