Document Description
The Long-Term Water Transfers EIS/EIR was certified in 2015. Additional agencies not previously identified in the EIS/EIR have since indicated that they may be interested in water transfers, and three agencies that were already identified in the EIS/EIR indicated an interest in increasing their amount of potential water transfers. These water transfers refine the range of potential transfers specifically acknowledged in the Long-Term Water Transfers EIS/EIR. While individual agencies may be able to transfer additional water, the overall water transfers in total for all agencies would not exceed the 511,094 acre-feet analyzed in the EIS/EIS. SLDMWA prepared an Addendum to evaluate the potential differences between the impacts analyzed in the EIS/EIR and those associated with project refinements. SLDMWA determined that the refinements tot eh range of potential water transfers would not result in new or substantially more severe environmental effects and do not require further environmental review.
