Document Description
Butte is conducting a one-year 2020 groundwater substitution transfer. Butte will pump up to an additional 2,750 acre-feet of groundwater from July through September 2020 to substitute for reduced deliveries of surface water under its pre-1914 water right. With a 13 percent stream flow depletion, up to 2,392 acre-feet of the forgone surface water will enter the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (Delta). After Delta carriage water, DWR will export the water through State Water Project Banks Pumping Plant and deliver to DRWD, ACWD, KC and KCWA during July through September 2020.
