Water System Master Plan Update

The proposed project includes construction of additional wells to extract from the Santa Ynez River underflow at the permitted rate the City is allocated under State Water Resources Board Permit No. 15878 and to make the river wells the first priority water source for the City. The proposed project would also include an extension of time under the City's permit from the State Water Board, which is required to fully utilize the planned river wells. An expansion of the place of diversion will also be required from the State Water Board to install some of the proposed wells downstream from the Alisal Bridge.
