Horseshoe Point Grassland Restoration
NOE - Notice of Exemption
Remove non-native trees, coyote brush, and exotic invasive species from the Horseshoe Point area of Salt Point State Park to restore native grassland habitat. Work will control and remove exotic invasive species of trees (less than 10" diameter), scrubs, and herbaceous vegetation using fire, mechanical and/or chemical (spot treatment with glyphosate and triclopyr) methods.
This project involves minor alteration in the condition of land and vegetation which do not involve the removal of healthy mature, scenic trees except for forestry purposes, included as "resource management projects' in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR 15300.4.
