Rehabilitate Residence 12 in Columbia State Historic Park to comply with current health and safety codes and repair the historic structure. Interior wall work will cover the existing wall paper in the living room and breakfast nook with wallboard in the master bedroom; Install sheet rock in the hallway; and repaint all walls, ceilings, and trim. Replace worn carpet and vinyl flooring. Bathroom work will replace existing dilapidated bathtub and toilet with acrylic bath/shower enclosure and new toilet .
Project consist of repair and maintenance of existing public structures involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency's determination; installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures; and maintenance and repair of historical resources, in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties with Guidelines fo Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring and Reconstructing Historic Buildings (1995) Weeks and Grimmer, and is included as "utility repairs or minor upgrades" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR section 15300.4.
