Document Description
North Orange County Community College District proposes to renovate and insert minor structures on property located at 1000 Leslie Street, La Habra, California 93102 ("Property") so it can be temporarily used as classroom space or "swing space." The buildings on the Property are currently vacant and were previously used as maintenance and storage facilities. The District will use 3 to 4 existing buildings on the site and approximately 25,000sf of space. The District will also place three temporary trailers on the Property and construct a one-story structure for automobile repair instruction. The maximum total number of students and staff who will be using the temporary space at one time will be approximately 200 persons.

Reasons for Exemption
The proposed Project consists of the renovation of existing facilities, the addition of one structure for automobile repair instruction, and temporary placement of three trailers on the Property. The proposed renovations will not increase student capacity by more than 25% or 10 classrooms. The Project will not cause a substantial adverse change in the significance of a historical resource. The Project will not involves the use of significant amounts of hazardous substances. The subject Property is not located in an area of statewide, regional, or area-wide concern identified in CEQA Guidelines Section 15206(b)(4). The project is not subject to any of the exceptions to exemption set forth in CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2.
