The grinding study is to The project is to support a grinding study that is led by UC Riverside and USFS-Forest Health Protection, and partnered with Cuyamaca Rancho State Park and CAL FIRE. The grinding study is to determine the maximum particle size that will not sustain viable Goldspotted Oak Borer (GSOB). To support this study, the project consists in two operations - transporting oak wood that is actively infested with Goldspotted Oak Borer and grinding the log wood into different particle size through a tub grinder (1, 3 and 9 inch particle sizes).
