The project will fund the verification of the manufacturing, test, and installation of Recipient's Digital Drive System Retrofit Kit (a range-extended electric vehicle drivesystem) for Class 3 - Class 6 trucks. The project benefits medium- and heavy-duty truck fleets and operators as well as the public by increasing the cost-effectiveness and feasibility of alternative and renewable vehicle technology, reducing reliance on petroleum fuels, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and increasing local green jobs.
