Document Description
The project will fund the pilot-scale production of oil-rich algae biomass in raceway ponds using wastewater nutrients. The algae feedstock will then be converted to biofuel. The pilot facility, located on an existing water reclamation facility, will include construction or modification of six 100m2 high rate ponds, eight existing 3-m2 high rate ponds, CO2 tanks, piping, pumps, an algae facility sump storage sheds, and a storm water collection basin, all surrounded by a 1-ft high secondary containment berm. The project will also relocate existing algae tank ponds.
