- Document Description
- The Project is a geotechnical drilling servey of the existing bridge. Two (2) of the borings will be completed using a drill rig positioned on the deck of the existing bridge and the other two (2)will be from the approach roadways on either side of the bridge. No equipment would need to access the Kings River Channel or adjacent wetlands. Each bore hole will be advanced using 6-inch diameter casing following by rotary wash drilling. The metal casing would maintain the sides of the bore holes and contain all soils and fluids. Mineral (bentonite) slurry would be used to maintain positive pressure at the cutting head.
