- Approximately 3.84 acres of Anza Borrego Desert State Park wilderness area will be restored along a 3.14 mile long linear damaged feature (previously bulldozed road). Small equipment and hand tools will be used by crews to excavate planting locations and install irrigation. Excavation of up to 36 inches for individual twelve inch plantings and movement of soil in widths up to 15 feet for topographic restoration may occur in various locations along the linear disturbance. Staging areas will be confined to previously disturbed areas and will be restored upon completion of project. Temporary installation of water tanks and other irrigation distribution equipment may be necessary at various previously disturbed locations via air transport to avoid any further vehicle impacts.
