Document Description
CDFW has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0173-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, MAZ Properties, Inc. c/o Alicia Harrison.
Project falls under the 2011 Fisheries Restoration Grant Program. Permittee previously completed the removal and subsequent stream restoration of five instream barriers to fish passage along Tajiguas Creek. A series of storm events in January and February of 2017 caused damage at two areas of restoration. Permittee proposes to make the following repairs to the damaged restoration areas:
The damaged restoration areas along the streambanks at both sites will undergo minor excavation to allow for placement of rock slope protection (RSP), placement of backfill behind RSP, planting of live willow stakes, and placement of geotextile cloth. All remaining voids within the RSP will be filled with salvaged material less than three inches in diameter. Repairs include revegetation of streambanks with plants locally native to the area. In the event that water is present, a dewatering plan will be implemented.
