- The project analyzed in this Environmental Initial Study includes a portion of a larger effort to reduce the risk of catastrophic fire by improving fire resiliency through vegetation treatments within and adjacent to the community of Mammoth Lakes. The larger project involves a cooperative effort with the Mammoth Lakes Fire Protection District (MLFPD), Mammoth Lakes Fire Safe Council, Mammoth Lakes Community Water District, Inyo national Forest, Mono County, Town of Mammoth Lakes, Mammoth Lake Trails - Public Access, and University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) Valentine Reserve.
