Document Description
Up to 60 tons per day of source separated commercial food waste would be collected by Allied Waste Services and transported to the CCTRS in Martinez for processing. The processed material would then be transported to the East Bay Municipal Utility District Main Wastewater Treatment Plant in Oakland where it would be fed into the plant's anaerobic digesters. The resulting methane gas would be beneficially used in EBMUD's Power Generation Station for energy production.
