Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Stream bed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0019-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Santa Clara Valley Habitat Agency. The Project will restore two stock ponds (CR1 and CR4) to provide a sufficient hydroperiod for California tiger salamander and California red-legged frog habitat. The ponds will be graded to increase the size of and/or repair the berms that hold the drainage water and bentonite clay will be added to the pond bottoms so that water can be retained through September. There will be 2 24-inch subsurface overflow pipes installed for each pond that will direct water to the downstream end of the drainages. A quick drain intake with 8-inch water level control pipe will be installed at both ponds. Poured concrete anti-seep collars will be installed on pipes. Both sites will have rock slope protection at the end of the pipes including 181 square feet at CR1 and 183 square feet at CR4.
