Present Land Use
The zoning is Heavy Agriculture (A3-G) and Open Space recreational (S1-G) which corresponds to the General Plan land use designations. Both zones have a Geothermal Overlay indicated by the "G" designator. In the A3-G zone, major geothermal projects are permitted by conditional use permit. The S1-G zone also permits electrical generation plants by conditional use permit. The proposed remedial activities do not change the type or intensity of the existing uses and would typically be allowed under existing conditional use permits.
