Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project applicant, County of San Luis Obispo, Department of Public Works, County of Government Center, Room 207, San Luis Obispo, California 93408. The Project consists of stabilization of an eroded bank of See Canyon Creek adjacent to See Canyon Road by constructing 48-foot long soldier pile wall. The wall will be constructed by installing approximately seven (7) steel "H-piles", in combination with concrete or steel lagging panels between each set of piles. The construction site would be prepared by trimming vegetation and excavating the currently unstable bank. Each pile would be installed by drilling a hole into the earth using an excavator or drill rig operated form the road surface. Excess excavated material will be disposed off-site away from the creek, and any space behind the new wall will be backfilled with crushed gravel. Following construction, disturbed areas will be revegetated with appropriate native riparian species.
