Each of the 162 existing basins in the longstanding and ongoing Debris Basin Maintenance Program receives at least one round of maintenance annually, which may include: annual brush clearing, tree trimming, and vegetation mowing; annual entrainment channel and outlet tower clearing; sediment removal; access road maintenance; State Division of Safety of Dams compliance; storm damage repair/restoration; and/or exotic species eradication. The Program does not include new construction, expansion or alteration of the debris basins.
